The days after the fall equinox, when the sun nearly rises straight east and sets squarely in the west, are of moments.  Sunrise and sunset moments of blended color and kissed clouds.  Shadow moments that reveal hollows and ridges hidden in other seasons.  Sumac moments when the first vestiges of change speak of tomorrows bright red leaves.  Chilled morning moments who hold the air a bit longer.  Midday moments when cows and calves sit side-by-side, chew cud, and are amazed by the world around them.  Bright birdsong moments of singing us to attention before winters quiet.  Now is a seasonal moment of color and sound and natural abundance.
